Personal data protection

Entry into force of European Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR)

Within the scope of its public service missions, the Opéra National de Bordeaux implements various personal data processing operations. In this respect, it is subject to the provisions of European Regulation 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation) which entered into force on 25 May 2018. This text increases the obligations relating to data protection and the persons concerned, defined hitherto by French Law 78-17 on information technology and freedom.

What is personal data processing?
This is all manual or computerised processing of data identifying physical persons directly or indirectly (for example the use of data such as the last name first name, photo, named e-mail, identification number, location data, data about physical, physiological, economic identity …)

What protection is available for people whose data is processed by the Opéra National de Bordeaux?
For each process, transparent, concise and complete information must be provided on collecting the data. This should enable the persons concerned to understand the objective and help them to control their data, thus facilitating the exercise of their rights (opposition, access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability).

Contact details of the Data Protection Officer of the City of Bordeaux
The Opéra National de Bordeaux is in the course of appointing a “data protection officer” who is the official contact for questions related to the exercise of rights for people concerned by data processing by a public service.
Meanwhile, you can have access to the consultation, modification or deletion of your data via this e-mail: cnil@onb.fr

For more information about the exercise of your rights, you can also consult the website of the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL)
